The Super Bowl Struggle is REAL

Soooo I'm siting here watching all of the yummy and wonderful foods that my friend is preparing for her Super Bowl party. Foods such as chocolate chip cookies, hot wings, tacos, burgers, Parmesan fries....well you get the idea. But for me, I'm not interested in loading down with calories on Super Bowl day. I have too much weight to lose and too much work to do to blow my entire weeks worth of calories on one day. Even though my Falcons are playing. So for anyone else who is struggling with staying on track on this day without being tempted by the typical Super Bowl feasts, I am posting some healthier alternatives that will help you manage this difficult food day. These recipes are in no way LOW calories but they are packed with veggies, proteins, and other vitamins that will tickle your macros. They are also lower in calories than your typical Super Bowl foods. I've personally tried all of these recipes and I love them. Good Luck and GOOOOOOOO Falcons! RISE UP!

I'll be eating at maintenance tomorrow. But I've been under all week so even if I go over maintenance by a bit, I'll still be at a net deficit for the week.

I'm really pulling for your Falcons. I'm a lifelong Rams fan (sucks to be me! lol), but it'd be great to see Matt Ryan get the win. He's a class act and he's been at it for a while now. Best of luck tomorrow!

I'm skipping lunch so I can have all the nachos during the game

Honestly though, it's one day in the long run. The damage done, if any, will be minimal if you get back to work Monday.

I'm looking forward to the game and I think I'll have some traditional wings but not breaded. It'll be mostly protein but satisfying nevertheless.

I just pre-logged tomorrow and I'm having nachos, pizza, wings and beers for the Superbowl!

I'll have my morning coffee in the morning, chocolate protein powder mixed with plain Greek yogurt at lunch and some carrot sticks as an afternoon snack. Tomorrow's total calories is 1272cals so I'm still hitting my calorie goal! We are receiving our friends and I'm in charge of the foods so I simply chose the best stuff and scanned the bar codes then tweaked everything I wanted to fit into my day.

Usually I chose better options and honestly I never drink but I haven't in a year and half since I got pregnant and then breastfed for 6 months, so it is important for myself to enjoy myself tomorrow. I also pre-logged monday to make sure I get right back on track

Super bowl foods are always yummy. I would love some hot wings and a cold beer but I'm going to try and stay on track. Thanks for the alternate recipe ideas. I wont be making them for tomorrow but do plan to try a few.
