Hello,

I'am being told I don't eat enough carbs from things like farro, spuds or lentils. But alot of mine comes from veg and porridge oats.

1200 cals per day 30% 90g carbs, 35% 47g fat and 35% 105g protein. I have included 100g spuds today but still have 16g left some days it is 25+.

I do alot of weights, cardi through gym and then walk approx 7-11 thousand steps per day. Include steps but not gym workout on mfp.

It is so hard to find the right info.

Thanks
Wendy

Don't stress with the details unless you have to. Eat enough, but not too much. How will you know that you are eating enough? You are satisfied, energetic, happy and feel well. How will you know that you aren't eating too much? You are at a normal weight, or if you are overweight, you are losing at a good rate.

The bigger question is, are you eating enough calories to support the level of activity you currently have. Do you eat any exercise calories? Also, what are your stats and goals?

90g of carbs is fine. Get them where it helps you adhere to your diet. Have yo checked that 1200 is the best goal for you based on stats and activity level?

You are eating a low carb diet now. Under 100-150g is considered low carb. You could add back some carbs if you wish, but if you have insulin resistance you might want to add more fats instead.

If you feel fine at 1200 then it might be fne for you. If you are hungry, tired or weak, then you probably need more food.
