Hey, I'm a yo-yo offender. Got down to 165 in 2016, my best year yet! Gained back 20lbs through the year and need to rebound before gaining the other 35 back! I'm 30, a working mom and wife. Love to cycle and ready to be in best shape for racing season! Current friends are inactive and could use some motivation and to give it too! Cheers to us and our journey!

I've tried losing weight a few times over the last 25 years or so and put it all back and then some. Not sure if it counts as 'yo-yo' if I go a couple of years between weight-loss attempts, but if it does, so be it.

But now, it's not just my energy and ego that are suffering; my health is following. This fall, I developed cellulitus, which was immediately followed by lymph edema (which left me with weeping wounds on my calf and daily visits from nurses to change the dressing). I was referred to a vascular surgeon who determined that I had poor lower body circulation, due to refluxed veins in my legs, exacerbated by my legs being forced to support more weight than they were designed to do. In addition to compression stockings, I've been advised that getting down to a healthy weight will go a long way toward managing my condition.

Also, my father and sister have opted for bariatric surgery. I'd really like to avoid that option.

So, here I am, 99 days later, 33 lbs lighter, and 81 lbs to go!
