Hey folks, hows your morning? I've used myfitness pal for a while now, but this is my first time posting in the community section.
I'm a 33 year old father to 4, and about 4 years ago I decided I had enough. I woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and couldn't believe what I had done to myself. I was never a bigger guy (I weighed about 150lbs when I graduated highschool) but somehome, I managed to let myself get up to around 250lbs.
I looked at my family, my wife, and my kids. I told myseld they deserved better, I deserved better, so I reached out to the fittest persob I knew.
My cousin had spent 4 years in the army, trained hard, and read about health and fitness contantly. He taught me everything he had learned up until that point, and pushed me hard in the gym. You know how they say "once you see results, it becomes an addiction"? That was true for me.
Sure I fell off the fitness wagon a few times (2 years ago when my youngest was born O neglected myself for about 6 months). But, I got back in the saddle and went back to work.
My current goal weight is 190lbs. As of this morning, I am at 203.2 lbs.
Right after Christmas I decided to take the eating part of fitness seriously. I cut out sugars. No more pop, no more energy drinks, better meal choices. I've lost roughly 20 pounds since then. I try to take progress photos weekly, so that I can visually track my progress.
My struggle right now is love handles/lower abs. What exercises do you use to target these areas?
If you have questions about working out I'll gladly share what I know. Shoot me a message, or check out my facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/700770340093859/
