Eating Keto style!

I have decided to change the way I eat. I am not on a "diet" but I have changed my diet. I am loving it so far and have lost almost 20 lbs so far. This is my 3rd week. Is anyone else eating Keto? How are you doing.

    Hi

I'm eating keto and have been since October with only 2 blips along the way and I've lost 33 lbs. I practice intermittent fasting and the longest I've gone is 64hrs and I find I'm barely hungry these days so 1 meal a day suffices me.

I have PCOS and Insulin resistance which makes it very hard to lose weight so I'm super proud of what I've achieved.

    Way to go!!! Congratulations!
I'm on day two of keto. I don't have much weight to lose (I'm 5'4" and 135ish pounds) but I'm doing it on doctor recommendation. I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and keto is apparently the best diet for this. I'm also pre-diabetic/insulin resistant. Doc says it's mostly genetic but also diet related. I hope I can stick with this diet! Your results are great to hear about. Gives me hope that this is sustainable.

I eat very low carb - keto levels - as best as possible, but will admit that I have "carb creep" every once in awhile. For example, I ended up with around 160g net carbs on Sat. That was only 7% of my calories for the day (half of those carbs were just from peanut butter), but just ate too much in total.

If you didn't know: Your early weight loss from keto is mostly an initial water weight loss as you use up glycogen stores without replenishing them. When you use glycogen, you lose 3 times as much water along with it. You won't lose 20 lbs. every 3 weeks going forward.
