Today will be my first day starting back exercising. I will be walking on my treadmill. How long should i walk?

I think it depends on your current fitness level. Have you been a couch potato, do you usually walk around town or do you drive to the mailbox at the end of the driveway?
Don't kill yourself, and if you're completely out of breath, slow down. The best plan is to start slow and build up your time/distance/speed a bit more each week. I also think it's better to walk 5-15 minutes, 7 days a week than one long session one time a week. Consistency is key.

How long are you used to walking? Start with 5 min at a slow pace aND slowly work your way up from there. I agree daily is good!0
