As you said, spot reduction isn't happening. Keep eating in a calorie deficit and if you aren't yet, add some form of resistance training to your routine.

You just keep lowering overall BF%. The belly is often primary fat stores...for most men it is primary fat stores and for a great many women as well. Primary fat stores tend to be first on, last off. I didn't start seeing my belly shrink until I was about 20 (of a total of 40Lbs) down. The last 20 was pretty noticeable, with the last 10 being particularly dramatic in regards to my stomach flattening.

Lifting weights will also assist in addition to cardio. You only mentioned cardio above. Sounds like you are already losing fat and on the right track! great job!

@bmayes2014 i do cardio mostly but just started with little 4kg dumbbells and do a bunch of exercises with them. Honestly with weight lifting am not sure were to start or how much to carry. Also do you think it's necessary to get a waist trainer, i always see people exercising with them.

@traceyidundun a waist trainer is definitely not necessary. People generally wear them in the gym to sweat more. It wont hurt. I have worn them before. However, you are already doing what it takes to decrease body fat and that's being in a caloric deficit. Like you said earlier, 'patience' and consistency. As your body fat decreases, your belly fat will as well

Waist trainers, those glorified pieces of elastic, do absolutely zero. Your waist is dictated by genetics, not elastic.

    No
  • I reduced my sugar intake by ALOTTT (which I guess makes sense since if it's not burned it metabolized into fat) and it made the world of a difference

Everything you eat that is not burned is stored into fat, be it sugar or salmon or butter. Anything eaten in a calorie surplus is stored as fat.

Unless you are saying that your body doesn't burn sugar you eat for energy or in some other way doesn't 'use' the sugar. Then you would just be incorrect.
