Weighing potatoes question.

I understand the water loss aspect of weighing a baked vs raw potato for calorie count.
But does that matter on boiled potatoes?

The way my prep works its inconvenient to weigh them after pealing before dumping them into the pot. But easy to weigh after. I'm not stressing about it too much, as even if I am off an oz that's 20somthing calories, but thought Id ask.

You can weigh after, just choose the boiled option in the entries.

I weigh them before I even peel them. It's easier.

or... just copy the title from here and search in mfp and use that?

Especially for meats and veggies, if in doubt, go to the USDA database, find it, then search here. It is the most accurate way I have found for entering meats and veggies cooked various ways.

Are you not able to weigh them in whatever container you put them in when you peel em up? could you weigh before peeling and weigh the peels as they cook and take the weight off later? Your right its potatoes it wouldnt matter that much but if ima eat something i damn well wanna get every last calorie in im greedy that way xD
