Essential Oils for Pre/Post Workout

Has anyone used essential oils for pre/post workout? Looking for any benefits or thoughts on if this is a viable option?

    I like peppermint before. I dilute it and rub it on the back of my neck sometimes before running. It's an energizing one for me.

    Viable option for what? There's no scientific evidence that essential oils will help you recover or lose weight. If you like the way they smell go ahead. :)

    I wasn't sure if they could offer any benefits pre-workout or help with muscle soreness for recovery. I'll definitely be trying the peppermint oil and you're right, since they smell so good I can use them anyway :)
