    Good observation!

You can only suffer through hunger and deprivation and strange restrictions and instructions for a while.
    Then you can't.
How long you can suffer, and what you can achieve while you suffer, isn't important. What you do afterwards, is important.

To make this thing work, set up a plan you feel able and willing to stick to for life. Make it so flexible that it adapts to your real life. Then just follow it.

You will lose weight as long as you have a consistent calorie deficit. You will lose more slowly as you get lighter. To lose weight you need - no, not superpowers - knowledge, commitment, patience, and realistic expectations.

You've got to look at this as a 'forever' thing. It isn't that your 'trying', 'this time'. This time it's a life change. I know it's really hard to believe that you can do it and this community is filled with people who don't know if they can do it. They check in a few weeks after starting to count their calories and haven't lost weight, or gained some, and lose confidence, but that's the trick, no matter what, you've got to keep going. You're on a journey and you're going to show your body what you want it to do, and if it doesn't work, you're going to try something a little different, but you CAN do this.

Are there any other things that folks can help you with? Do you know what your calorie needs are to create a calorie deficit?
