Muscle soreness help?

I'm 19, college student, 6' and about 210. I'm trying to get back into the routine of working out 3-4 times a week to lose some weight. I do both cardio and weight machines. I'm finding my muscles to be very sore day of and for a couple days after. No pain no gain right? But the soreness is kinda unmotivating since I don't feel like going to the gym when sore. Anyone have tips on how to reduce the muscle soreness faster so I can continue to go to the gym every other day? I'm definitely still a beginner in the lifting scene so I don't do anything crazy that I feel like my body cant handle. Just need some advice on how to stay motivated!

Ease into training. It's normal since your body is not use to it. In few weeks time training will be like second nature lol0

if you take more than 3 days off between muscle groups it's like starting all over again... after working out, refrain from taking long HOT baths...it might feel good to start but you will pay for it... take an advil for the pain... and keep at it... the soreness will lessen, and eventually you will learn to accept that a little soreness is a good thing.0

You get sore because, when your muscles tear they release something called lactic acid. Hydration, bcaa's, and beta alanine all help counter the lactic acid.
Chances are, you're extra sore because your stabalizer muscles are being worked on. And as an above poster said that can be 3 weeks or more of soreness. If you experience soreness in your joints you may want to consider adding extra omega 3 to your diet.
It will not go away, but it will become better, and the duration shorter over time.
Try to remain active for a few hours after a workout to help reduce the tightness as well.1 -

Do full-body strength training every 2-3 days, doing no more than 3 sets per body part.
With cardio, avoid doing too much too soon.
Avoid long periods of inactivity between workouts. Keep your muscles moving.2
