Well... hi! I'm new around here. I started in May, it will be two months in a few days. Before that, I haven't checked the scale for years and then one day I did and those kilograms just crept up on me.

That and my pants shrank around my hips, belly and *kitten* in a pretty much horrifying way. And yeah, I haven't been physically active for years either. In this sense, life crept up on me - moving around, stressful job and all that usual excuses that ate up my schedule and left nothing that I would be doing usefully for me and myself alone.

I didn't start in the obese category, really not. But my body fat percentage just shoot through the roof and I was terrified to learn that my "metabolic age" was something like five years up from my actual age. So I purchased a gym membership, consulted a trainer and started moving. And then I logged in here to learn a bit about calorie intake and burn and... tada.... I still cannot believe, after nearly two months, that it actually works.

Such a simple equation, move, control calorie intake and the body follows, very cooperatively.

So, that's all. Just wanted to say hi really, to the community here. With all the admiration for the people who make tremendous changes in their lives with awesome results. Success stories must be my favorite section here in the forums. Such an inspiration. And (never dieted in my life, so I had some misconceptions) having had learnt that chocolate, especially the dark one, is good for you, helps too :)
