Just weighed myself in boots. I've always gripped the handles when weighing myself. I noticed today it days not to unless instructed. my weight gripping is 17st 6 lbs. Not gripping is 17st 12.
Now although a nuisance the extra 6 lbs aren't a big problem but what is the correct weight and why such a big difference.
thanks.

You are unwittingly taking some of the strain of your weight off by gripping the handles. Just standing in a natural position is closer to your real weight probably but as you say, makes little difference in the grand scheme of things, it's the trend that matters (down/up/maintain depending on goals).2

Yes, if you grab or touch anything when weighing yourself, that hand will support part of your weight, and so that weight will not be transferred to the scale and will not be measured. The scale needs to be the only thing you touch while weighing yourself.
In afraid the heavier weight is correct!0
