There are many great sounding recipes submitted by members, BUT I can't find them to see exactly WHAT ingredients are being used. WHERE can I find this information. It doesn't show the recipe when you check the nutritional information.

I'm sure someone knows how to find the recipes, I just can't seem to do it.

The individual items in the public Food Database are just that, individual items that people have created with Calorie and nutritional information. They are not recipes per se, but another user may have used the nutrition information the got by building their recipe in MFP's Recipe Tool, then creating a food item. You can not access other user's recipes and they can not access your recipes.

You can find recipes by searching here on this message board, or you can visit the MFP HelloHealthy blog and search for recipes there.

In MFP, ff someone creates a recipe and then marks it as "public", then it is available for other MFP users to see and use. But most folks don't do that, and if they do, they may have given it a name like "Alices SuperAwesome Sauce Enchilada Casserole", so if you just searched for "Enchilada Casserole" you'd never find it in the database :-(

For that reason, I don't search for recipes on MFP, but I get ideas from people's posts, and then go to Epicurious (http://www.epicurious.com/recipesmenus) , Cooking Light http://www.cookinglight.com/, or Hungry Girl http://www.hungry-girl.com/ web sites and then use MFP's "Import Recipe" tool to import different versions of a dish, figure out the calorie counts, and then decide which one to make.
