Exercising under muscle relaxers?

About a year ago, I was prescribed a muscle relaxant to help with migraines (Flexeril). I take it as needed and haven't needed it since I started working out a month ago. Unfortunately, I can feel a migraine coming on and am planning on taking one. My question is this: can I still work out tomorrow? I don't get drowsy from it anymore so that is not a concern. When I get migraines, I'll get muscles spasms and tightness in my neck. Is it okay if I still do some light cardio work?

You should really consult your doctor or pharmacist about this.3

Ditto. Talk with your doctor. Although some pharmacists may know their stuff, getting reliable info may be hit or miss as the quality of PharmD programs producing our pharmacists is highly variable, So for important questions about your health should be addressed with your Physician. Nothing against the good Pharmacists out there!0

I couldn't imagine working out with muscle relaxers. I was out cold with those drugs.0

Are you really going to want to exercise the day after a migraine?1

I don't have trouble feeling drowsy taking it. The reason why I would still like to do some exercise is that my migraines are tied very closely to my stress levels. Exercising is one of the things that I'm trying to reduce my stress levels.0

Try it. Take it easy, dip your toe in the water, see how it goes, use judgement - you know how those pills affect you. Have somebody with you if you can.0

and maybe keep the safeties on and go lighter than usual.
idk, i've never tried to lift after taking an otc pill. it would defeat the purpose i'm taking them for, in my case. but i guess i would worry about my body just not responding the way i'm used to, so more a concern with tearing some little muscle taht's usually protected by the big guys.
not that that's scientific or anything0 -
Knowing the way flexoril affects me from when I used to take it, I'd never try and train while on it.
My traps and in fact my entire upper back can get crazy tight thanks to a nerve impingement issue. I find that constantly forcing the muscles to move correctly in training keeps everything working properly.1
