Hello Everyone,

I have changed what/how often/who much I eat for over 17mnths now, 5ft 1in, weight 8st 10lb (2wks ago), eat 1200 cals per day, plenty of protein and carbs from porridge oats veg.

I have gone down afew dress size I was 10st 3 size 16/18. Now 12 odd 10.

Well everything changed but now everything bar my ab's are moving and my body looks horrid now nice waist up. I walk around 7000+ steps and do 2km run and go to the gym everyday strenght one day leg bums tums another cardio another.

Cut out alot of my sugar, chocolate over a mnth ago, eat fish, red and white meat. Way more than 7 veg a day. Pasta rice spuds not alot.

Help me move this stubborn ab's fat please.

Thanks
Wendy

There is no magic wand or fast fix. Belly fat, just like other areas is reduced by calorific deficit.

But, this gets harder as you approach normal/ideal body weight/composition. Your logging needs to be absolutely spot on and it is recommended that you deficit is smaller and therefore weight loss is slower when approaching your target weight (to minimize the lean body mass loss associated with aggressive weight loss when at normal body fat %ages).

    My advice:
    • Eat at a small deficit (0.5lb per week loss target?)
    • Perform strength work to preserve lean body mass
    • Get plenty of sleep (reduce stress and therefore minimize cortisol)
    • Keep on keeping on

Its like trying to grow out your hair. There is a transition period where it looks so odd that you think about cutting it again. Thats where ur abs are at. Keep working and you will make it through this phase and onto the next phase. You got this. Keep working

All of this. It's not just about a fairly low calorie diet. It's about getting adequate nutrition, training hard and patience. The below thread might be helpful.
