Hi! Any other soul cysters out there? I'm back on MFP, and I've decided that this time I really need to add friends to make this work. Anyways, feel free to add me, I'd appreciate hearing how other women with PCOS have proceeded with real lifestyle changes, setbacks, and successes.

    Hi, Anthropose!

I'm one of those unfortunate PCOSers that has the obesity issues to deal with, and have been heavy ever since I hit my teens. It has definitely had a major impact on my life, and I definitely know the struggles it causes, especially socially! I had one doctor told me I'd never lose the weight because of it and my thyroid troubles, but I managed to drop 90 lbs back in 2012 - only to have it come sliding back after the thyroid woes kicked in. But things are starting to even out, so I'm hoping I can get the calorie-counting thing to work again, because I know it can be done. I may never get to my BMI, but every little bit helps!
