I don't if I should loose some weight first, and then start lifting. Or can I start lifting and lose weight? I'm confused

Find this thread. It's a long one, but after the first page, you'll go lift.

Lift now! Retain more muscle as you lose and improve your body composition as the fat starts to go away.2

Start lifting now and work on dialing in your nutrition as you go. Find a good program that involves a progression of weight, reps or both. I suggest a 5x5 lifting program or forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4195843 for building a good base. Take into consideration your physical abilities or limitations and the availability of equipment when choosing a program. Starting Strength is a great website for info and form videos too. Good luck!0

A second vote for Stronglifts 5X5. Start now! You'll love your results. Just remember you still have to keep your calorie intake at a deficit, too.0
