Problems eating

I have a really bad problem eating. It is so hard for me to make myself eat 1200 calories. At the end of the day I have to force myself to eat to get up to 1200. I don't feel like I'm starving myself or anything but I know some days I must be with eating so little. I just hate eating so much (even though I know it's not that much). I guess since I was always small prior to getting pregnant I'm scared that eating instantly takes me back to my 190lb self. I feel like this issue is why I'm now hitting a plateau. I think my metabolism is all out of whack from eating so little. I guess I just need advice, encouragement, etc. I don't even know if I should be eating 1200 calories. Maybe I should be eating more? I feel like even though I'm losing weight I may be doing my body harm by not eating correctly. I've been working really hard to hit 1200 calories and I just want to figure out what I should be doing.

I would love to compare food diaries with you. I always eat around 1600ish with no problem. I workout 6 days a week and feel hungry a lot. I tend to eat 5 times a day, so my metabolism stays fired up.0

Cutting down too far is counter-productive, as your body goes into 'starvation' mode and hangs on to the fat. 1200 cals is quite low enough. If you struggle to reach it, have something more calorific but good for you, like oily fish or wholegrain carbs. You need to consume 3,500 calories OVER the average daily maintanance amount to gain 1lb, so don't be scared of eating all your calorie allowance.0
