"Tire" around the midsection

Finally decided to wake up and get with the program on weight loss, its been too long. I'm kicking butt in the gym doing 65 min elliptical and 30 min of weight training daily. At 300lbs that's a lot for me. Some days I count every single second.
I see the difference in my body as it's changing to build more muscle and have more stamina. The legs, great. Arms, getting there. Belly, yikes! I know you can't pick where to lose weight but any suggestions?!

You might not like the answer, but keep doing what you are doing. It will take time but eventually the belly will change along with the rest of you.2

Sorry love you said it yourself, You cant pick MY belly has been one of the last too go. Just continue to kick *kitten* and count your sexy blessings as you continue to lose on your arms, My arms are giant and wont shrink its horrifying XD1

Keep doing what you are doing. My spare tire is the last thing that "seems" to be going away. But it is gradually disappearing. Are you tracking any body measurements? You may want to do this weekly or monthly, but don't get too caught up on the numbers. The mirror test works fine.
Great job and keep it up!1 -
Seems like it's always the last to go. I still have probably a half inch to an inch of fat around my midsection, yet all the core work over the last year has built some serious muscle underneath. I guess the only consolation is that once the final bit of fat finally goes there will be a six pack there waiting. I cut down to a BMI of 21 for a little while and it was still there to an extent. This winter I've been doing a cautious bulk so a bit more fat is there now, but I figure this summer I'll chisel away at it again. Just have patience, and even though you can't spot reduce, core work will build the muscles underneath so that when you do lose it you'll be much happier. Start now.0

Apparently you have not searched the Internet. For the right price there are a hundred different companies with a fix. The only thing they really do is take size off your wallet.
The waist is normally one of the last areas to go. I have been told that focusing some effort on working the Core will help, but reality is that only builds muscle under the layer of fat I call a spare tire, plenty of people admit that until the loss is great enough the abs will remain hidden.2 -
Just keep on keeping on and you will get there. I agree that the mirror is great but it can be hard to see your progress without pictures.
Also, I feel you on the stomach. It is typically the last to go. My arms, legs and back now have good muscle definition. Even my upper stomach is looking good and the abs are trying to peak out but the bottom is going to be a while. It can be frustrating but progress is being made and goals will be reached. The process just takes time.2
