Family. :\

Here's the thing. I stay very very on track for the whole week, but the moment its the weekend and I have to take my meals with family (even if its not weekends, as long as its a family dinner), i get in trouble. Not because i don't track, I still do, but i go over my cals horribly.
The problem is mostly cause I'm at a stage where my family, ALL of them think that I should stop losing weight already. They're going on and on about me looking too thin, danger of getting aneroxic etc. etc, and while I know I'm nowhere near that, they hear nothing of it and just shove food in my direction. I end up eating more then half of it if only to get them to stop harping on me, or a fight will break out. ><
Would that make me stop losing weight completely, me going to maintainence on weekends? Or would my losing weight just slow down a little?
General facts: 22, around 141lbs, wanting to get to 121lbs. Pictures viewable on my profile? :P

One day a week won't ruin your progress. It might even help to kickstart your metabolism for the rest of the week.:)0

Providing you have the correct maintenance amount of calories for the weekend, all that will happen is that your weightloss with slow down a bit, because on those two days you will not be eating at a deficit. The trick is finding what your maintenance level really is.
Regarding your family, I have to admit, somebody pushing food in my direction would make me dig my heels in big-time and I would refuse to eat it so that it annoyed them, but that is just me :laugh:0 -
You look pretty good as is in your pics, not like you have an eating disorder at all. Maybe they just aren't used to you looking like that yet? Also, you posted your weight and age, but what is your height?0

if life gives you lemons...
you could do calorie cycling, i.e. eat fewer calories during the week and then eat the ones you saved during family meals. If you eat 100 a day less, you can have 600 EXTRA for a meal. Or - what I would do - you could skip a meal (like breakfast) on those days. That way you don't have to feel bad, you don't have to fight, and calorie cycling is supposed to be very effective.0 -

Ahh, alright. Thank you! ^_^ And yeah, I used to dig in big time, and they would listen to me, even if they were a little annoyed. But nowadays, they just don't give up, and then it erupts in to a fight, and fighting with my family over food, to me, just isn't worth it. >.<0 -

I know I don't have an ED, neither am I close to developing one. I love my food too much. xD My family's just paranoid, but yeah, I think they're just not used to it at all. xD And oops, sorry! I'm 5 feet 5.if life gives you lemons...

Ooh, that sounds like a good way. Thanks! ^_^0 -
Try to run a bit earlier, burn extra cals for dinner. But don't worry about over eating every now and then, it gives you a break and can ease the stress if dieting all week. As long as your weekly cals are ok then ur good
You look great BTW, I don't see any reason for you to worry0 -

I try to, but my schedule doesn't really allow it sometimes. >.< I try to keep under my weekly cals too. but its difficult with holidays galore these days.
and aw, thanks. :P I only have that last 10lbs to lose, and thats only cause I wanna get rid of an annoying pooch. But its the last bits that take forever to drop off. ):0 -
This is my standard advice for everybody trying to get fit: lift heavy things0

Eat slowly, talk a lot, keep rice consumption low, take multiple servings of vegetable dishes. I cut my calorie intake (at Chinese family meals) in half doing these things.
Also, don't know about your family but the Chinese part of mine just tries to find problems. Can't take em too seriously.0 -

I talk plentyyy, and I don't even touch the rice. I just always tell them I'm full cause I just ate, but they still shove food in my face. Especially if they've cooked my favorite. >.<
Oh yes, they ALWAYS try to find problems. When iw as overweight, I was fat. Now that I'm not, I'm eating too little, picking at my food, being picky etc. etc. I don't take em seriously, but i really dislike getting in to fights with them for trivial things like this. ><0 -

It's an art, and it's tough. Just know that nothing you do will be enough to stop the comments. And when you get older, they'll spend their days thinking of things to say about your children. But it's because they care, and they don't really know how to show that other than finding things to "give advice" about. Good luck, stay strong0
