Hey grumpy! Welcome to MFP.
I'm 63 and don't eat breakfast either. Know that *when* you consume your calories is completely irrelevant to weight loss. What matters is *how many* calories you eat in a day.
May I suggest you start out slowly? Log all your current foods in MFP (and get yourself a food scale for accuracy) for a week to get a good baseline as to the number of calories you currently consume in a day. From there you will be able to see the 'cost' of different foods and begin to make less caloric choices. Either by gradually reducing the portion size of foods you love and eat now, or switching some of them out for lighter choices.
My concern is that if you go from your current diet to raw vegan in one big sweeping change, you risk crashing and burning once your resolve starts to falter. And know that you don't *have* to go raw vegan to lose weight. No diet or way of eating guarantees weight loss. It's truly all about eating less food than your body burns in a day through just being alive and exercising. That's what *will* take the pounds off.
Edited to add: I lost 75 lbs within a year and reach my goal weight by making small, incremental sustainable changes to my diet.

I am vegan myself, and I can't stand to do completely raw. Its just too much for my digestive system. I too also drink coffee until late morning, only one cup, I nurse it until i'm ready to eat. That said, You do you. But for the sitting all day, can you get a exercise ball to sit on rather than a basic chair? At least with the ball you need to balance yourself while you work.
