Seriously? "Daniel's Weight Loss Secret? 2 lbs/week" ?

I know many of MFP's health & fitness articles are questionable, but this one actually makes me angry:

We spend so much time here in the forums encouraging people to pursue a weekly weight loss goal that is appropriate for them and their individual stats, and here MFP is encouraging people to set an arbitrary goal of 2 lbs/week and get the weight off fast? Why??

    I didn't say 2 lbs/week is never a reasonable goal. I'm specifically referring to the article and how it makes no reference to the factors that might affect a person's weekly weight loss goal and makes it sound like a great choice for anyone. Also, it perpetuates the idea that a person can expect to consistently lose that exact amount of weight for the duration of their journey... both ideas that we are constantly having to correct here in the forums.
