confused with my weight loss

I am counting calories and eating high protein foods and trying to be more active. I am always under my calorie goals by a few hundred and am losing weight. I am just confused on why I wake up 2-3 lbs lighter every few days. Is that possible?

Did you just start this? You are probably losing water weight, especially if you dropped your carbs. Also, if you're in a deficit, chances are there is just less food in your system. Food has weight.0

Also worth noting if you are "a few hundred" calories under your goal each day, you are increasing your deficit substantially. What are your stats? What is your daily goal and just how much under are you on average?0

I just said...water, less food in your system, maybe mixed with fat.
I lost 8lbs over night for a powerlifting competition weigh in.2 -
Bodies are weird, and weight loss isn't linear. I won't lose anything for days, and then 3 lbs down in one day. It's normal.1

I've weighed myself and then used the toilet and lost 3lbs. *kitten* happens....4

That's a good one. Jealous. lmao0 -
Ignore daily fluctuations, or even weekly... it's better to compare month to month. I can gain a pound on the scale in 30 seconds just by drinking a bottle of water- or lose a pound on the scale by going pee. Water weighs a lot and the body is not always at a constant rate of hydration. I also always weigh 3 to 4 pounds heavier at the end of the day compared to the morning, and those 3 or 4 pounds disappear overnight while I'm sleeping.1

I want to reiterate, 1100 is too low. You're increasing your losses by 0.5/week when you already have an aggressive goal. You need to eat more, you don't get a prize for eating as little as possible, eat more while you can clock in large losses eating a good amount.3

This is a very important point that seems to have gotten lost in this discussion. And since OP is averaging 440 cals under her daily goal, she's actually closer to increasing her losses by 1 lb/week.
That's not a healthy or sustainable approach, IMO.2 -
