How are the calorie burn based? Anyone? Is it on HR 220-age= minutes working out. I just do not see the results of the calorie burned based on minutes I work out =x calories used.

I do not work out in my target HR for the majority of hours I walk/jog in the week. Anyone know how to get a true calorie burn used?
I do not own a fit bit or the like just hr monitor and stop watch. MY RHR is 58 to 60 I mostly stay at a HR of 126 this is a light jog. If I push to 168 I have trouble breathing and will sometime need my inhaler. So HR 126 seems good. Sweat and can talk but not conversation talk.

Thanks
Patsy

I don't know the answer to that and that is why I own a heart rate monitor with calories counted. In my opinion that is the best way to have an idea of what you are burning calorie wise. I try to keep my heart rate over 120 when I am walking and have never gotten it much over 140 even doing cardio exercises like kickboxing.
