anyone else battling against the annoying side affects of post breast cancer TOMOXIFIN or other hormone blocker drugs? The myfitness pal ap has been an amazing tool. Would love to hear others' experience and tools for keeping weit gain at bay and even losing weight.

I'm a BC survivor, but my Tamoxifen days are behind me (took it for 2.5 years, Arimidex for 5 more). MFP was a great tool, for me, to lose weight. I was lucky enough not to see a huge weight impact from the drugs - I think I probably started eating relatively more of filling veggies post treatment, and that that may've reduced some of my higher-calorie eating, helping keep my weight steady (which meant staying obese, in those days, BTW).

Regular moderate to vigorous exercise is a great thing for us as survivors, both to help with stress management and "buy" a few extra calories while losing weight, and to improve our odds of avoiding BC recurrence. There's decent research evidence for the latter, even.

Good luck on your MFP weight loss journey! I'm down to a healthy weight now (120s at 5'5", age 61), found losing to be fairly simple (if not at every minute easy ;) ), and wish I'd done it years ago!

I'm on Anastrazole and have been for over a year. I've lost 68lbs now since the end of March without exercise on 1200cals, so it's doable for sure :) Best of luck.

Tamoxifen didn't impact my weight at all.
