I need help, exactly one week ago I weighed myself to find I weighed 149... well yesterday I started my period and I stepped on the scale to see I weigh 157!?
I have been sticking to dieting and work out routine (but last two days I was so busy I just couldn't find the time to work out)
Is this because of my period!?

Do you use a food scale? How many calories are you eating?
Also, it is incredibly common to gain during/before TOM. I usually gain 6-10lbs of water weight then. I also gain around 5lbs during ovulation.3 -
I gain about a week before mine 1-3 pounds. Really watch yourself the week before because bloat gain is a thing (which goes away) but so it eating more. I'm always wanting to eat a ton the week before and that gain doesn't go away2

My cycle does weird things to my weight also. I don't think it's that unusual. After your period, things should be back to normal.0

I consume around 1,100 calories a day, I am using a food scale. But lately I've craved salt like a mad man o.0 but I haven't gone over my cal limit (1,200)0 -
It is normal to gain weight during your period. If you are staying under your calorie amount its just water weight. Drink lots of water, limit your salt intake the week before you start, this will also make cramps less painful. I use a tea from traditional medicinal called weightless, it helps get rid of water weight. Good luck!0

Yep, normal. My weight fluctuates about 10 lbs. a month. 2 days after my period I usually get my low weight of the month, then it slowly creeps up again throughout the month until TOM again, then back down. I can't get bogged down in daily/weekly weigh-ins because they don't give the true picture. But once I step back and look at the pattern, over time my high-mid-TOM-weights are what my "low" weights used to be, and my 2-days-after-TOM weights are new low numbers, so loss is happening, it' sjust not evident every day.1

I gain a good 10lbs during the first 3-4 days of my period.0
