Sodium Intake

I have hypotension and though '2500 mg.' is considered high by many physicians (1500 mg. a day is the recommended I think), even if I go under that level, I am constantly dizzy and faint. And yes, I do consume enough calories. I'm just wondering if it is safe to increase the intake to 3000 mg./day as I am considering that. I understand that I will probably have a lot of water retention, but I really don't mind that as it doesn't seem to show on the scale. And this additional intake would not be coming from foods, but rather table salt in water. Would appreciate any opinions/advice on this, thanks!

For something like that, I'd recommend asking your doctor.
Usually you can just call and they'll answer the question over the phone, so you don't even have to go in.0 -

Self-diagnosis can be dangerous. You could aggravate what ever is causing your medical problem. See your doctor.:flowerforyou:0
