What does that mean to a guy who you've barely known that well at all(except for bus rides during high school)? He hasn't talked to you or seen you in two years or so, and he messages you that? You're not interested in him at all as anything other than friends.

"Hey! We should hang out before the year starts!"
"Sure, I'm out of town now, but after I get back definitely, yeah!"
"haha! Neither am I. Where are you?"
*conversation ends soon after, awkwardly*

I overcomplicate things, but I barely know him.. and no guy's asked me to hang out alone before, so yeah... Awkward

    I would guess he has a crush on you. If you are interested but only as friends then I think a group meeting or something totally non-romantic (throw a frisbee in public park, game of tennis etc) and be friends but if he indicated that he wants to be more than friends just politely but bluntly say you aren't interested in more than a friendship with him.

    Usually if you haven't talked to a guy in a long time and he randomly messages you, it means he's interested. Most guys aren't known to just text to say hi, especially if you haven't talked in two years. If you're not interested, but like him as a friend, maybe say yes and make it a group thing.

    Well I used to treat him like a little brother (advice and such with school) so you'd *THINK* he'd think of me like a big sister, but no. -.-
