Looking for opinions from people who have used Diet To Go.

Hello,

After a great deal of research, I have purchased my first week of Diet To Go's Traditional 1200 calorie plan. Yes, I know the best way to lose weight is to cook my own food. However, I hate to cook and frankly would prefer to spend my time doing other things. Diet to go and BistroMd were the closest I could find to healthy, home cooked meals at a reasonable price, and the pricing/selection for DTG is why I selected it over Bistro MD.

Anyway, I was interested in hearing from people who have used or are currently using DTG. I'm wondering if it would be okay to ad a serving or two of veggies to my meals? Perhaps a mid afternoon snack?

Thanks,
Amanda

    Hello Amanda,

I just joined DTG tonight. How has you experience been so far?

    Hope
  • I am also curious. Haven't signed up yet...
  • I used DTG for 3-4 months and was really happy with it. I only cancelled due to the cost. That being said, I liked the fact that unlike nutrisystem, which I tried in the past, they include ALL of the food. Not half and then you get the order and realize you have to go spend money on all sorts of veggies and fruits as well. I don't see why adding an extra serving of veggies in would hurt as long as they aren't swimming in butter or an oily sauce. :)

Also unlike nutrisystem, the food is much better. I remember all the nutrisystem food had wonky textures and tasted like someone dumped a whole shaker of pepper in the sauce. Yuck!

Lastly, a word of advice, check out the substitutions as you find things you don't want the next time that week cycles around, the substitution menu has some meals you wouldn't get otherwise.
