Does anyone else have chronic illnesses or chronic pain but works out? If so what do you recommend. Particularly interested in low impact weight loss and toning exercises. Thanks in advance

I have an autoimmune disease that occasionally causes excruciating joint pain in spite of treatment. I do a Barre fitness class and a pilates/Barre mix class for low impact. I also do weight lifting. My numbers are not impressive, but I am satisfied with just being able to do it at all.
    Hope this helps.
ETA: also yoga. Learning to controly breathing through stress has helped me to deal with the pain with less drugs.

I also have an auto immune disorder which causes joint pain. I have found doing yoga stretches have been beneficial. I can feel the stretch and the toning. I generally only do 5 to 10 minutes at the most at a time. I also do 5 pound dumbbells to work my arms and upper body. I can sit when I do this. I have found several different stretches for yoga by just searching on the Internet. I also did the same thing for finding a light work out for the weights. I am just getting started with trying to lose weight, I have been put on prednisone for my autoimmune disorder and have gained almost 30 pounds! So I have to do something!

I have an autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation in my joints this also triggered severe anemia (not the normal all women are anemic on their periods but can't function without intervenious iron infusions) I've just started a work out routine so may not be the best to talk to, but stationary bike works for me as does water aerobics or aqua zumba at my club. I've also really enjoyed yoga!
