Clindamycin

I'm on clindamycin (an antibiotic) that my dentist prescribed. I've been taking it for the last few days (300 mgs 4x daily), and it's upset my stomach whenever I take it, even though I take it with food, am eating yogurt, and taking a probiotic. I googled it last night to see what people did to ease stomach pains, and all I found were a bunch of horror stories about how clindamycin will basically ruin your life.
Does anybody have any positive things to say about it? Or ways to minimize any side effects?

Clindamycin is a good, effective antibiotic and is prescribed frequently. However all medications can have side effects and are not tolerated in the same way by everyone. there are other antibiotics that can be just as effective. If you are having problems with this one then inform your doctor and have him prescribe a different one for you.0

Just read up about it and it is mostly prescribed for an infection from anaerobic bacteria. I don't remember exactly this name but back when I was being treated with a strong antibiotic for anaerobic bacteria, the doctor told me to eat yogurt to keep the diarrhea at bay and to call him if I had diarrhea for two days or more. Luckily, yogurt took care of it for me but if it doesn't for you, call the doctor and meanwhile stay very well hydrated!0
