We all know that nutrition is a big part of weight loss, but exercise is also important.

What type of exercise (dvds, walking, etc.) have you done as part of your weight loss journey?

I remember being a teenager and doing workout tapes... buns of steel, Cindy Crawford, Richard Simmons. I would also go for long walks.

When I was old enough, I joined a gym and was obsessed with the stair master. The elliptical had just come out. My gym had 3 and a 10 minute time limit cause it was so popular. Then I discovered step classes - loved step! Tried a few spin classes too.

After college I joined a gym in a new city and discovered kickboxing and plyometrics classes. Did a little bit of running.

I moved to San Diego and started running regularly. It's pretty much all I do now.

Running. It's like walking, but you get to see more scenery and stay warmer. I like lifting too because it translates over to real life and being able to pick up heavy stuff and open jars is awesome. I used to like cycling before I moved to the mountains. I might have to buy a mountain bike and try it again come spring.

Dancing since I'm a dancer. Sometimes (ok ALL the time ) ill put my earphones in, blast the music and have a mini party.. .in my head. I burn like a 1000 calories without trying. I can dance for hours and never get bored. Or sometimes ill learn a new dance. Kpop is my fav. ive learned the dance to call me baby by exo, I got a boy by snsd and right now im trying to learn 'rough'by gfiend. Them kpop dances will have you drenched in sweat but they're so fun!
If I had a pool I would do laps. I love swimming...the chlorine in pools just don't agree with my hair and the uv rays don't agree with my skin. I also love Pilates. I do a few blogilates and fitness blender videos. I never run

Hiking/backpacking in the mountains is my favorite. Others I like are kayaking (river not rapids) and shooting hoops.

I don't do a lot of DVDs but I do like Zumba on DVD.

Cycling followed closely by Olympic lifting...I recently started going to a rock climbing gym on occasion and I'm enjoying that a lot, but I can't afford to do it all the time...but it's a fun new hobby and I think I'm going to take a class so I can get off the auto-belay.
