TDEE: 1766

I have already lost a little weight and in order to adjust my calorie intake I reestimated my TDEE. The website I used said 1766, but I think this seems very low. I know that every person is different, but most guides I read say that women of average height or more spend more than that in a day.
I have usually eaten 1600 calories a day for very moderate weight loss, given that I don't have a lot to lose anymore. But I seem to be losing at that intake.
I am not sure whether to go lower or to stick with the 1600 for a bit longer and see. Even if I eat nutritious, I do get very hungry. Perhaps I am more active than I think I am?
Anyone else with a low TDEE?

I'm 5'5 and on the days that I don't exercise I usually burn around 1600 calories. If you like the amount you're eating and are happy with the rate of weight loss, then stick with it. Or if you're still hungry, try eating a little more and see if the weight still comes off even with that extra 100 calories. The trick is finding what works for your body0

what are your stats? (h/age/current weight/goal weight)?0

What did you put for your activity level...if you don't exercise regularly and are also otherwise pretty inactive, maintenance calories are going to be pretty low.
Beyond that, at this point you have your own data to work with...your own data will trump any calculators ESTIMATE. How much are you losing on average per week eating 1600 calories...that should be all that you really need to know to calculate your maintenance.
Also keep in mind that when many people go to maintenance it ends up being higher than they think...as they take in more energy (calories) they are more energized and tend to do more...including everything from fidgeting to moving around more to better, higher intensity exercise.0 -

^^This. So much this.
If you're losing weight at a rate you're satisfied with eating 1600 calories, and you "get very hungry" on 1600 calories, why would you want to decrease your calories because an online calculator spat out a suspiciously low TDEE estimate?deannalfisher wrote: »what are your stats? You're already at the low end of a healthy BMI, so cutting calories to increase your rate of loss will probably unnecessarily sacrifice lean mass.0
