For starters, I am a high risk pregnancy, but I was told I still have to exercise. Not that I mind, but I went from running a half marathon to just barely getting my tolerance up to walking two miles. It's like I've turned into a complete weenie who dang near passes out all the time.
Any advice to help me get back up there safely. Any good regimines ? (Only 12 weeks right now by the way. I'm not huge yet)
I'm totally new to this being pregnant thing.

If your doctor told you to exercise, you need to ask them what you should be doing if you're passing out regularly.

I get a roundabout answer of "do what you can manage but don't over do it " the only thing I was told was nothing that included abdominal muscles. The passing out is for reasons I don't want to share on here, if you don't mind. (I don't mean that in a rude way, if it sounded snappy.)
It's why I'm asking for what other pregnant woman were able to do, so I can start there and do what I can. If that makes any sense.
I had to stop wrestling, running , and weight lifting, so I'm super bummed out.

well swimming and walking are both gentle forms of exercise, so just start there.

I never stopped doing the exercises I have always done, including trail runs, abdominal s etc (Until the bump prevented me but certainly not at 12 weeks)
I was told to continue to do what I normally did.

Only your Dr can tell you as we don't know why you are passing out. Pin them down to an answer- Push back with which type of exercises should I "Do what I can manage"?

but logic dictates that if you cannot 'manage' walking without passing out, then you should not be doing it, regardless of what other pregnant women have managed

sucks, but a healthy baby is more important at this stage, no?

I couldn't do much with my first pregnancy.
I was on total bed rest with my second baby.

My sister lifted heavy throughout her pregnancy, right till the end with no adverse effects.

Exercise during pregnancy depends on your individual circumstances. You really need to go by what your OB/GYN deems suitable for you.

If it were me with a high risk pregnancy I would be extra careful to adhere to medical advice and not compare myself too much to others.

I stuck with my usual exercises for the most part (I cut out ab stuff and things that made me bounce around a lot like dancing), and listened to my body. Jogging was my favorite go-to even with my big belly in the third trimester.

There's specific workout DVDs/videos you can get for pregnancy (I found several yoga/pilates/etc at the local thrift store for $1). Walking is good too. Just listen to your body, and if it says to stop then do so. Good luck!

Do you have instagram? Check out noellebenepe - she posts workouts daily and is currently pregnant. Since you are high risk, some of the moves she has on there may be out of your ability, but might be good to check it out for ideas.
