Coughing a lot. Is it ok to run? No fever, headache, just constant coughing.

Personal opinion, anecdotal evidence, , , every time I've tried to power through a cold, by exercising vigorously, the cold will last 10 to 14 days. If I take a day or two off of working out (or even stay home from work and sleep), the cold will be over in much less time, maybe 6 to 7 days.

You can, you are compounding things by putting even more stress on your body, why not give it a couple of days to rest and recover from the illness.
Coughing a lot and running is quite uncomfortable for me and my running..1 -
I've done it because I'm crazy. It's not pleasant but sometimes it clears stuff out and makes you feel better but more often than not just makes you feel worse1

I've rested 5 days and I have a history of prolonged coughing that sometimes last months before it gets better. I just don't want to ruin the endurance I've built over the past two months (was barely was able to run a mile but now can run 3-5 miles).
This is so frustrating.

bronchitis leaves me coughing like that for a really long time, haven't had it in a very long time. have you thought about crossing training a bit to keep up your cardiovascular/endurance? Can the doc prescribe you something to keep the coughing at bay? just a thought..
You never know you might can start running and be fine. All you can do is try it out and see.. Good luck.1
