Types of Food Scales

Good Morning Everyone! I have a question on the type of food scale everyone uses. I have one that has a small bowl with it (to put my food in) and it weighs grams and ounces only. I have seen on these discussions that even though a slice of bread says it's 35 calories, I should be weighing it to make sure it's not a bit more or a bit less to be more accurate. In that case, do you all have scales that you can enter the grams, etc. on it prior to weighing the food? Thank you in advance!

I am not sure I understand your question.

My scales are digital...weight in oz and grams...have a small bowl too.

I turn it on...let it get to 0 put the food on it...log that food by weight...ie 128 grams of chicken or 32 grams of bread..etc.

Not sure scales weigh in anything other than oz and grams...other than lbs and kilograms which means a lot of weight so...

I think she means can you set a weight. like can you set the scale to 126 grams and see if it zeros when you add the food? The answer is no. if you want to know what you take out of a container (peanut butter) put the container on the scale, tare, take out what you want and record the amount that is in the negative. If you're asking about logging, find an entry for your product where the amount is broken down into grams. I.e. 1 serving (35g), in the dropdown for serving sizes you should see some combination of serving sizes 1oz, 1g, 1container etc
