Ok, say I am making a chicken veggie soup for meal prep but how do you know exactly how many calories in each serving? Should I cook the chicken separate then shred it and add 4 oz to each bowl of soup? I am a newbie at meal prepping so any help is awesome!

Thanks!

Have you tried the recipe builder? When you're mixing different ingredients together, you'll never know exactly how many calories are in each bowl (I mean, one bowl might have 60 calories worth of potatoes and another bowl might have 55), but these differences probably aren't going to be significant enough to impact your weight as long as you're doing your best to have relatively equal distribution between bowls.

If you're doing any of your own cooking you really need to use the recipe builder. It can be tricky at first but after you use it a time or two it really takes no extra time at all and will help you be much more accurate in your calorie counting.
