a balanced meal, a balanced day, or a balanced week

Hi folks,

I often will go over one of my macros one day/week.
For example one day a week I might consume a fair amount of fat since i will eat 1/2 pound ground beef but for the rest of the week will consume a fairly low fat diet, or will reward myself with a decadent sweet treat if I've been good at moderating carbs/calories the rest of the week.

In terms of like, MFP data, I don't care if I go over my food goal 1 day/week, that's not the point.

How might these "spikes" affect weight loss or muscle gain? Is it fine b/c the cavemen ate that way ? :D:D

Like, in general, if you can't manage a balanced meal, or even pull off a balanced day, is it better/worst/the same if the best you can do balanced diet over a week?

I only track my calorie intake (macros don't interest me), and I focus on weekly totals instead of daily. Did this during the weight loss phase and continue to do it now in maintenance :)

The only spike you may see is a higher carb or sodium day and retaining water weight. But that comes off in a few days.
