Anyone use a Fitbit One and Zip at the same time?

My One has been giving me issues and in the meantime I borrowed a friends zip. Both set up for me exactly the same. I wear both side by side and at the same time.

They are meant to read the same way correct? I mean would there be any other reason then inaccuracy to explain the huge difference?

Steps seem to be pretty good but the burn is almost 300 calories more on the newer zip.

One burn / Zip Burn

2166 -- 2341
2070 -- 2133
2026 -- 2340
1956 -- 2255
1981 -- 2213

I notice the active minutes are what is really off as well and what is probably skewing the results.

Active Mins One / Active Mins Zip

0 -- 33
11 -- 31
11 -- 92
0 -- 102
16 -- 43

Just wondering if anyone else has compared the 2 before.
I am constantly trying to figure out calories burned but clearly still struggling

These are the steps and yesterday was off a bit while charging my One

One / Zip
12110-- 12029
10348 --10129
14137-- 14070
13133-- 12930
10663 --11444

I see why you would feel confused. I don't know why the steps would be much different if worn in the same spot Different fb devices do use different algorithms for cals & active minutes, although I thought the zip and one used the same. I'd email this info to fitbit support and see what they say. Their phone support is really good too, from all I've ever heard, but it might be hard to convey all the details on the phone. You could call first, and maybe they'd give you a way to email the details.
My hubby and I both have Ones. I understand why our steps would be different when we walk together, but often the floors are different too, and that makes no sense. Whoever gets less feel gypped, but we just shrug and go on! LOL
Anyway, your steps look great, so keep it going!

    Thanks :)
Because my fitbit One is out of warranty they just tell me it is defective and offer up a new one. They aren't interested in telling me why or how or even how long this has been an issue.

It seems as though it has been the pattern for awhile but they just aren't interested. I even posted on their facebook page and they totally ignored me! Someone commented on my post and they addressed her while ignoring me so I figured I would look here for answers before chucking all things fitbit out of my house!

There is a fitbit group here on MFP. You might ask there. Someone might have more of an idea about the inner workings and formulas used.
