This may sound ridiculous but i have energy that i don't know what to do with. I normally would find a good movie and just start eating not even paying attention to how much i am consuming after eating lightly all day at work. Almost like i felt i deserved it after a long day. Well, i am now on a medically supervised weight program and it is very low calorie..800-900/ day.. Honestly, I am not hungry. The food you buy from their store and it is all very high in protein. However, this is the time of day that i would be grazing until i go to bed. I decided to check out my cabinets for tea. I found some green tea-decaffeinated to drink. I am not even sure if i made it right. Bought it for my daughter a while ago. So, i am thinking that maybe this will be something I enjoy to replace some of these cravings, etc. I don't know. Just thought I would share...

I'm not a massive fan of plain green tea, but like it with other additions. In the morning I have green tea with lemon myrtle, and during the day my current obsession is Strawberry Bliss Chai, which is a blend of green tea, cardamon, ginger, cloves, pepper, chilli powder, and strawberry pieces.
I'm also fond of peppermint tea and drink a blend of lemon balm, lavender, jasmine blossoms and rose petals before bed.0 -
Re: making green tea. Make sure the water is not quite boiling. Too hot water makes the tea bitter.
I like flavored green tea. Meijer Food stores sells berry green tea bags - makes yummy iced tea.

Japanese American here. I grew up on green tea and still drink it regularly. Properly brewed green tea should have very subtle, slightly sweet flavor. For green tea to be brewed properly, you need to do it at a pretty low temperature (somewhere between 160-170F is ideal for basic store bought brands, 122-140F for high quality green tea).
Also, most green teas shouldn't be steeped for more than two minutes. I've found that Japanese green teas are best steeped for 60-90 seconds, while Chinese green teas can be steeped up to 2-3 minutes before they start getting bitter.0 -
There are Stevia vanilla drops you can get. Try sweetening your tea with that.0
