Do you use PiYo or any workout dvds? What do you think?

I ordered PiYo this morning. I am really nervous wondering if I will be able to do it with my weight but I need to get stronger and am too self-conscious to go to the gym right now. The workout I have now (an old Slim in 6) is up to 50 minutes long for the workout I was on and I don't always have time to do it. PiYo is supposed to be 30 minutes and that seems more manageable to me and hopefully I will stick to it. Anyone else tried home workout programs?

Piyo is very hard. I'm not going to lie, but she does have one person always performing an abridged version that's for beginners. Pace yourself and don't feel like you have to keep up with the people on the dvd. Yo are your only competition. Just challenge yourself to do a little more one day at a time. Good luck

PiYo can have workouts from 30--45 min. They involve a lot of life he's, so really work the legs. Try it out and see how you like it. I would also suggest looking throat YouTube for all kinds of exercise workouts. Try different things.

I completed two months of the piyo series recently. It starts out pretty reasonable, but gets super tough as it progresses. The length of the workouts increase as well as you progress. I never was able to complete the 45 minute "Drench" workout successfully. After half assing it to the best of my ability I just gave up and substituted in the "Sweat" routine. There is a modifyer, but I did feel, at times, that it was necessary to modify the modifyer even

I did lose about an inch all around though in doing the series. My eating is horrible, else I'm sure it'd of been more.

Good luck. Commit and modify, I think you'll be glad you did!

I use workout DVDs. Old P90 the new P90 and P90X by Tony Horton. I have some physical limitations due to arthritis in my shoulder knee and I've also had a double hip replacement.

You can still do the work output just modify the moves or the workout intensity as you get more comfortable and proficient you can increase your intensity level it's hard to believe but it will come. I'm doing plyometric routines now that a year ago I could never imagine doing including a full 360 spin jump. Tony Horton has a saying that I absolutely love. He says do your best and forget the rest

As far as your weight don't even worry about it. January 1st 2016 my weight was 280 pounds. Current weight is 208. I basically lost I estimate 70 - 75 of those pounds counting calories. Couldn't burn enough calories thru exercise to lose that much weight.

Start off slowly do your best and whatever it in persistent you'll surprise yourself good luck on your journey
