Counting calories when eating out

Most places are pretty good and will add nutrition to their menus or at least have them available online. But I find lot of the ethnic restaurants don't include nutrition. How do you keep track of the calories you are consuming? or even how much is a real serving? So far I've stayed away but I crave so badly for some thai...chinese....indian.... everything.... Please help!

I generally average out what I do find online. Obviously, this won't work if you are eating out all of the time, but for an occasional trip for thai, any old restaurant pad thai entry will give you a good guestimate.0
