One more time down the road

This time last year I was at the lowest weight of my adult life. I felt great. It wasn't hard to get there I just used this app and kept myself in check. Weighed everyday and used an app to track that as well. Then I moved in with my guy, three states away. Started a new job, got married. Settled in to finally having another adult in the house. Happy! My life is amazing! And my guy cooks... a lot... and loves that I eat... a lot. Now I've gained 20 pounds and my 17 year old beautiful skinny daughter is sitting beside me on the couch wearing a pair of jeans I wore last year while I tuck a fat roll into my stretchy yoga pants. I'm mostly typing this out for me. Gaining 20 pounds sucks, but you know what I'm happy in my life. Being bigger than I want hasn't made my life miserable. It's time to fix it. Time to reclaim my willpower. Time to be happy in my life and my skin. But I don't want to get so caught up in having gained weight that I lose sight of having gained so many great things to. So my post is a reminder to me. Be happy and get heathy and stop calling myself fat! Thanks for letting me vent :)

Thank you very much and it will help. A "public" reminder to do what I know :)

I've been there too. I've been using MFP off and on for about five years now. After my initial 40 lb weight loss I've come back three or four times to take off that "weight creep" that happens. A couple years ago following an injury it was 25 lbs and now I'm currently in the middle of taking the 15 lbs I put on over the holiday season ( October - December ). Just get back in that saddle and have faith it will come off.
