Hypothyroidism and food

For the last 5 to 6 years, I have suffered from hypothyroidism. I went through a multitude of symptoms before the doctors finally figured it out with a simple blood test: fatique, dry mouth, anxiety, etc. Finally, over the last year, I have gained approximately 25 lbs. The doctors finally figured out that I have hypothyroidism. From personal experience, it is not easy to correct! After about 10 months of taking medication, I want to get back to the body I had. I finally feel like a real person again, so I joined myfitnesspal to get back into shape. Anyone have any good food or easy recipes for a person with hypothyroidism?
I know not to drink coffee (which is going to be so hard - I live...lived on coffee). Also, certain vegetables are not a good idea. However, there has got to be some tastier items than gluten-free fajita wraps! Help me out if you can! Thanks
