New to MyFitnessPal

Options
About a year ago, I started my journey by cutting out some of the more horrible things from my diet. I stopped drinking soda/soft drinks of all kinds and sweet tea. Almost immediately, I started dropping the pounds. Since then, I've started using my gym membership more and refining my diet. As of now, I'm down over 50 lbs since Feb 2016.

My palate is starting to change on me. I'm leaning towards a more whole food/plant based diet, but it seems to me it's more of a texture/taste thing vs. a combative attitude towards using animal products. This is what has led me to use MyFitnessPal. I wanted to use an app that lets me plug in food or recipes I make and see the nutritional content (Sodium, Carbs, Sugars etc.) This app came highly recommended. I didn't realize this whole support system/community existed until just a few days ago. So, any and all tips and motivation is encouraged on this end.
