Help me understand

I've seen a bunch of questions on negative calorie adjustments but I still don't get hit. Here's my scenario. I got up and maybe took a couple hundred steps wearing my Fitbit. I might have had 30-40 calories from exercise in my diary. I then went for a 7 mile run wearing my Fitbit and Garmin gps w/hrm. I came back with over 10k steps and 1000+ calories burned in garmin from the run. Fitbit then published the garmin calories and an offsetting -1100 Fitbit calories leaving me with +60 from exercise.
I thought the point of adjustments was if your not active and are burning less than expected you'll get adjusted down. Why is it offsetting a run like this?
One more thing, diary is set to lose 2lb per week and sedentary so I get 1500 base calories before activity.

This seems odd especially if you were wearing your fitbit, as well as Garmin. Did your fitbit record the steps you took on the run? I know that sometimes my fitbit hasn't yet registered the steps that I took and that is why it gave me negative adjustments. I started turning off the negative adjustments, since I do not wear my fitbit for every activity. I generally record my exercise activity, so that I can track what I am doing rather than just calories.0

2 questions:
1. What do you have your activity level set on for MFP? Most people set it to sedentary, as they would rather get calories added rather than taken away?
2. How often are you syncing Fitbit with MFP? If you don't sync very often you'll get some crazy numbers when you do.0 -
My activity level is set to sedintary so I get 1500 cal before any activity. It did track my steps, over 10,000. I was wearing Fitbit one and garmin at the same time. I sync Fitbit throughout the day, I never check the Fitbit, always see where I'm at by opening and syncing the app. I got back from the run and immediately synced both garmin and Fitbit. They're still showing the big negative, I believe my diary is open to see.0

It just corrected itself. Fitbit is now +4 and I'm getting the run calories. Must have been a delay.1
