Newbie Cutting Calories

I am looking for some friends on here to help motivate me. I joined to lose weight and I've decided to try to reduce my calories to 1200 a day. I'm so eager to see if this works. I'm busy with 3 kids and I don't have much time for exercise.

Thank you! How long have you been working at it and how much have you lost?0 -

1200 is the lowest default minimum before exercise......so if it's not something you can master don't feel bad. I eat more (by choice) because I'm trying to minimize lean muscle mass loss (over 50). Just find a place where you can be consistent. It's not fast or slow that's important, it's consistent.
Just eat foods you like but account for your calories. It does work. Over time you will (naturally) tweak your food choices. You will find some foods more filling than others. Protein, fat & fiber are the usual suspects, but it's different combos for everyone.
Here are a couple good newbie threads......

Thanks so much for your advice. This community and app feels better than any fancy gym. I'm thankful to have found it. I've been logging for 3 days now. It actually is addictive.0 -
