Challenges to begin exercise program.

I really need to start some form of exercise but have some challenges. I have heart disease (open heart surgery 9 years ago, another coming in 2-3 years) and pulmonary disease. I am out of breath on a pretty consistent basis. My doctors say I can exercise within limits. I don't know where to begin--don't want to overdo it and exacerbate my issues, but I also don't want to waste my time by not doing enough.

You need to speak to your doctor... find out what those limits are.

I'd start by asking your Dr where you should start especially with your medical issues and go from there as you don't want to make things worse

walk 10 min 3x/day - assuming your dr approves

Definitely talk to your doctor. I would think walking would be the best place to start.
