Is health black and white??
Through out this entire journey of mine to shed unwanted fat and to become a much healthier and fit individual I have come across many, many different individuals who eat, sleep, and breathe fitness. They have Facebook pages, instagram accounts, twitter accounts, and everything all dedicated to their live of fitness.
With that and the many individuals I follow I have heard and seen so many different ways to do the things that are deemed necessary to become fit and healthy or to shed unwanted weight. They have fancy names for things and they are always talking about a new cycle, or phase, or type of whatever they are currently doing. But who says one is right and, and the other is wrong?
Are all these individuals right? Well if there is one way and one way only to get fit then they can't all be right. But then how do you know who is right and who isn't? You really don't do you? So then you obviously have to do your own research and/or just simply trust and do what you feel to be safe, and healthy for you to do and take part in.
One thing in particular that I seen today that sort of sparked me to share this little spiel of my feelings was a post made by a lady who is really awesome. She has a facebook fitness page and she promotes health and fitness 110% all day everyday. She is a great help, I have reached out to her many times for answers to some hindering questions. But today she posted about how "back in the day" she used to do cardio 6 times a week and how that that's unnecessary. That you should only need to do cardio twice a week as long as there HIIT cardio sessions. Because its all about making sure your macros are on point. She even said and I quote: "It's all about diet, diet, diet. No good food, no bad food, just food to hit your macros for your individual body."
Ok so is she saying that we can still eat bad foods as long as we keep our macros in line? That calories don't really matter? And do you really think that everyone can slim down, shape up or keep in shape with only doing cardio twice a week?
Maybe. Maybe not.
My point with all of this is that you really can't pin point health and fitness. You can give all the advice you want but there really is no right or wrong answer. What works for one person, might not work for another. Some people simply might enjoy doing in a different way and they still see the results they are looking for.
So who is to say there is one thing that works better then others, or things that we shouldn't be doing? Health isn't something that is black or white. It is common sense to a point. Eating Oreos and fried pickles every day and washing it down with coke isn't obviously healthy. But to say there is only one right way is wrong itself.
What do you guys think about this?
